Keenan, Angels Too Much for Yankees
|
The California Angels knocked off the New York Yankees, 8-1, at Disney Stadium. Isaac Keenan was a big reason California won. The second baseman was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5. California is second in the Western Region Pacific Division with a record of 52-29.
California catcher Luke Storey contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a 2-run single. It was his 80th hit of the season and put the Angels ahead, 3-1.
"We'll keep our chins up and get ready for the next game," said losing manager Nate Williams.
