Brewers Prevail, 3-2, Over San Diego
|
Milwaukee turned a good effort from starter Max LaBombard into a win over the San Diego Padres at American Family Field. The Brewers won the game, 3-2. With the victory, the Brewers upped their record to 42-37.
Oswin Camp had a big solo home run for the Brewers in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Milwaukee leading 2-1 and the bases empty, he sized up a fastball from Tomás Rocha, who is tied for 6th in the AL with a 3.14 ERA, and punished it. The result was his 29th home run of the season, which put the Brewers on top, 3-1.
"For the most part, I stayed out of the middle of the plate," LaBombard said.
