With 3-1 Win, Falcons Improve to 41-35
|
The Fresno Falcons and California Angels played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
In a well-pitched game between the Fresno Falcons and the California Angels, pitcher Luca Boris was superb. The Fresno right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. After today's action, Fresno sits at 41-35, while California falls to 31-45.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Falcons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when first baseman Patton Buffington hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Billy Trowbridge and made the score 2-0, Falcons. Buffington went 1 for 3.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Buffington told the Fresno Daily.
