Phillies Bats Go Cold Against Mariners
|
Seattle got an elite performance from starting pitcher Elijah Siddall in taking a 5-0 decision over the Philadelphia Phillies. The Western Region Northwest Division-leading Mariners are 57-18.
Siddall, a native of Colorado Springs, Colorado, was dealing all game. He kept Philadelphia hitters off-balance, while giving the Mariners 8.1 quality innings. Siddall threw 97 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 4.
"It all depends on which version of our team shows up," said Siddall. "When we put it all together, I think we're a great team."
