Astros Suffer 4-2 Home Loss
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Milwaukee Brewers got the win.
The Milwaukee Brewers got a stellar performance from pitcher Colton Tucker, who handcuffed the Houston offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Minute Maid Park. In 7 innings, Tucker surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 0. He allowed 1 run.
Milwaukee used a well-timed hit by Huey Ortega to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Brewers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.
Houston manager Norman Goguen said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
Milwaukee now sits in last place in the Eastern Region Great Lakes Division at 32-42.
