Blue Jays Trip Knights, 7-1, in Extra Innings
|
Toronto Blue Jays starter Kevin Alessandroni worked his magic, as he helped his team defeat the Las Vegas Knights, 7-1. Brent Brown, 7-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. The Blue Jays improved to a lofty 56-18.
Runs were hard to come by in this one. Jackson Kilsdonk's at-bat with one out in the top of the 11th, therefore, was critical. The Toronto designated hitter hit a grand slam home run, to put his team on top, 5-1.
"Kevin did a tremendous job," said Toronto manager Matt Martin.
