Texas Rangers starter Daniel Hoekstra had all his pitches working at Royal Port Stadium. His stellar performance paved the way for an easy 8-1 Texas win over the Vancouver Cascades. The win has Texas at 26-47.

Kenyu Kashiwabara had a big 2-run home run for the Rangers in the top of the fourth inning. With Texas leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a changeup from Ean Holby, who leads the AL in innings pitched with 117.2, and punished it. The result was his 9th home run of the season, which put the Rangers on top, 4-0.

"Daniel did a really nice job of taking the ball and giving us a chance to win the game," said Texas manager James Sparks.
