LumberKings Move on to A Championship Series
The Regional Championship Series may not have lived up to the expectation that it would be a dogfight that would go the distance. The Clinton LumberKings, however, are not complaining.

The LumberKings were plenty happy to have wrapped up the series early and to have knocked out the Beloit Snappers to advance to the A Championship Series.

Clinton won the final game by a 4-0 count at Ashford University Field and the series 4-2.

LumberKings right fielder Norman Richards was named series MVP, as he hit .414 with a .433 on-base percentage. He added 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 6 runs.

"It's not going to be the last time Beloit makes it to the playoffs, so it's sure a nice feeling to put them out this year," Richards said. "We just need to keep this going and take it day by day."

The A Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regional Championship Series finishes.
