Rainiers Top Bisons in Triple A Championship Series
The Tacoma Rainiers ignited a huge celebration as they beat the Buffalo Bisons 6-1 to win the Triple A Championship Series.

Tacoma won the series 4-3, capturing the title for the 5th time.

"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Tacoma manager Joe Jansen. "It's a great feeling."

The champs finished the regular season 92-52 and claimed first place in the Pacific Coast League Pacific Division.

In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and right fielder Logan Toler said the Rainiers have "great fans and they deserve this."

"I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
