Miami Marlins Win Skyline Championship Series
The Miami Marlins ignited a huge celebration as they beat the San Francisco Giants 7-5 to win the Skyline Championship Series.

Miami won the series 4-2, capturing the title for the 8th time.

"We stepped it up at the right time, and now we're the champs," said Miami manager Nick McCollough. "It's a great feeling."

The champs finished the regular season 111-51 and claimed first place in the Eastern Region Atlantic Division.

In the jubilant clubhouse after the decisive game, series MVP and center fielder Gerard Bandoh said the Marlins have "great fans and they deserve this."

"I am so happy for our city right now," he said.
