Giants Hammered by Gates, Drop Game 3 to Marlins
Riding the 2-hit performance of designated hitter Sebastian Gates, the Miami Marlins got a road win against the San Francisco Giants, 10-4, in Game 3 of the Skyline Championship Series. Gates hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Marlins, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the third. That's when Gates hit a fastball from Stan Davidson for a 2-run home run, putting Miami up, 5-0.

Miami manager Nick McCollough commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
