White Sox Clip Rockies, 3-2, in DCS Contest
|
The Chicago White Sox and the Colorado Rockies will take the Division Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the White Sox beat the Rockies, 3-2, at Guaranteed Rate Field to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Chicago right-hander Hunter Wronowski had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball.
One of the clutch hits for Chicago came from one of their biggest talents. In the bottom of the seventh with one out, Uriel Mitcham, who led the AL in on-base percentage with .414 in 2061, hit a run-scoring double to put the White Sox up, 3-2. For the game, the catcher was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles.
Mitcham called the win "a pick-me-upper."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 28th , 2063.
