The Yucatan Matadors beat the Chihuahua Aztecs, 5-2, at Bull Rush Park. The win was due in part to designated hitter Kevin Schram, who went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Cam Resman picked up the save for Yucatan, his 18th of the year. The Matadors sit in last place in the La Liga Mexico SouthEast Division with a record of 45-56.

An important at-bat for the Matadors came in the bottom of the sixth, when second baseman Magali Lopez stroked a 2-run triple. That made the score 4-2 in favor of Yucatan. For the day, Lopez was 1-4 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI.

"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Yucatan manager Ángel Fuentes. "It's usually not just one thing."
