Thrice as Nice: Fresno On Verge of Sweep after Walk-off Win
The Fresno Falcons and the Seattle Mariners went into extra innings at Savemart Center today, with Fresno emerging victorious. The 2-1 win means the Falcons are now a game away from sweeping the Mariners from the Divisional Series. Despite the loss, Mariners right-hander Errol Medrano had a strong outing in which he threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives Fresno a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Fresno second baseman Zach Pryor, facing Gaman Ramage, had a run-scoring single. It gave the Falcons the 2-1 win.

"Extras are exciting for the fans, but they are tough for the visitors because every time they're at the plate, they can end it with one swing," said Mariners manager D.J. Madrid.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wednesday, October 23rd , 2052.
