Almost There: Vancouver On Cusp of DS Triumph After 3-2 Win
|
The Vancouver Cascades moved to within one game of the Regional Championship Series, downing the visiting San Francisco Giants at Royal Port Stadium by a score of 3-2. Cascades right-hander Mathew Parrish had a strong outing in which he threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Cascades a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.
Parrish gave Vancouver a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 3 hits over 6.1 innings.
"Mathew pitched like a son-of-a-gun," said Vancouver manager Drew Bohn.
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, November 2nd , 2058 at Oracle Park.
