The Corpus Christi Hooks went the distance and then some at Whataburger Field to drag themselves back into a tie with the Altoona Curve.

It took 12 innings to settle Game 6 of the AA Championship Series, but Corpus Christi eventually took a walk-off, 3-2 win behind the efforts of pitcher Nick Calinescu. Calinescu threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs to aid the Corpus Christi cause. The clubs are now tied 3-3 in their best-of-7 series.

The climactic moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Corpus Christi. That's when 25-year old second baseman Phil Rosenquist hit a solo home run off Daniel Leone to win the game. The home crowd erupted in celebration.

"Nick just settled in and did what he does," said Corpus Christi manager Ramon Guerrero.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi.
