The Quebec Metros got a strong performance from pitcher Elijah Woodard, who stymied the visiting Frisco RoughRiders en route to a win, 9-1, in Game 2 of the AA Championship Series. The RoughRiders could never get a bead on the right-handed Woodard, who threw 5.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The Metros now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

With Quebec leading 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Charlie Bunker hit a 2-run single off Frisco pitcher Jack Wise. It put the Metros ahead 5-1.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Zeke Butler said.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, October 25th , 2067 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.
