The Arizona Diamondbacks moved to within one game of the Skyline Championship Series, downing the visiting New York Yankees at Chase Field by a score of 2-1. Diamondbacks right-hander Eli Zile had a strong outing in which he threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Diamondbacks a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Regional Championship Series.

"Eli -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Diamondbacks manager Jacob Thomas. "He was the key to us winning."
