Andres, Reds Sink Blue Jays Again in Game 2
|
With first baseman José Maria Andres leading the charge, the Cincinnati Reds got a road win over the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-4, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series today. Andres went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once at Rogers Centre to help Cincinnati take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Lloyd Crosier, the slick-fielding center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Crosier contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the second inning to put Cincinnati up, 2-0.
"It's a gut punch," Blue Jays manager Matt Martin said, "to get here and find ourselves down 0-2 in the blink of an eye."
Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Great American Ball Park.
