Falcons Heading to Division Championship Series
|
Ray Mallory has led his Fresno Falcons to a Wild Card Series victory.
Fresno's shortstop was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-2 and eliminating the Pittsburgh Pirates.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series."
The club advanced to the Division Championship Series with a 5-1 triumph at Best Buy Ballpark in the deciding game.
Mallory was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .478 average, as well as 3 home runs and 5 RBI.
The Division Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
