Already down in the Wild Card Series, the Detroit Tigers put on their best show, beating the Cincinnati Reds by a final score of 12-9. Greg Piper was special. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. Detroit now trails Cincinnati 3-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 11th for Detroit. That's when Ryan McNish hit a 3-run home run off 30-year old right-handed pitcher Kyle Egerton to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said Piper.

Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at Great American Ball Park.
