Pirates Win Division Championship Series
The Pittsburgh Pirates "bent but didn't break" against the Miami Marlins in the Division Championship Series.

That's according to Brandon Hanke of Pittsburgh, who was named series MVP.

"Our guys faced adversity and overcame it. This series wasn't easy, but we stuck to our game and made it work," he said.


Pittsburgh won the final game by a 8-6 count and the series 4-2.

Hanke's MVP performance included hitting .273 with a .333 on-base percentage. He also had 4 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Regional Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Championship Series finishes.
