Cleveland Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
|
Riding the 3-hit performance of right fielder Nick Dunstan, the Cleveland Indians got a road win against the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-2, in Game 2 of the Division Championship Series. Dunstan was 3 for 3 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch for the Indians, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.
The game was all tied up in the top of the eighth, until Dunstan delivered big-time for Cleveland, stroking a dramatic run-scoring double off Anthony McAtee. The game-changing hit put the Indians on top, 3-2.
Cleveland manager Justin Jackson praised his team's "businesslike approach."
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Tecumseh Field.
