St. Louis Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in WCS
The St. Louis Cardinals got a strong performance from pitcher Vinny Vanderbeek, who stymied the visiting Cleveland Indians en route to a win, 6-2, in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. The Indians could never get a bead on the left-handed Vanderbeek, who threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The Cardinals now hold a 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

The Cardinals picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"Vinny just settled in and did what he does," said St. Louis manager Zachary Norat.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 14th , 2063.
