The Yucatan Matadors pounded the Puebla Mermen, 18-1, at Bull Rush Park. Yucatan third baseman Sandro Cordero had a solid game. He was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 4 and driving in 3 for the Matadors. T.J. Billegas got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 8 innings, giving up no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. At 41-50, the Matadors find themselves in last place in the La Liga Mexico SouthEast Division.

The Matadors got a big hit from designated hitter Kevin Schram. In the bottom of the eighth, Schram pounded a 3-run home run to right. His 16th home run of the season put the Matadors ahead, 17-0.
