The Seattle Mariners overcame a good performance by Houston center fielder Davy Camacho to knock off Houston, 7-6, in 10 innings at Minute Maid Park. Camacho slugged 2 home runs. Wade Paulson, 5-3, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Houston has now lost 5 consecutive games.

Seattle used a timely hit from Farleigh Kritzer to get the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Mariners ahead, 7-6. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.

"You can't hate how you win if you win," said Seattle skipper Jose Perez.
