Road Win Lifts Medicine Hat to 2-1 Lead in RCS
|
With starter Brycen Patrick leading the charge, the Medicine Hat Stampede defeated the Great Falls Voyagers, 5-3, in Game 3 of the Regional Championship Series today. The right-hander threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball at Centene Stadium to help Medicine Hat take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.
The game was at a stalemate until designated hitter Miles Lithwick came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Great Falls pitcher Matt O'Rielly, he hit a 1-2 changeup for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Medicine Hat on top, 4-2.
"I liked his command," said Medicine Hat manager Andy Rodgers. "Brycen was throwing strikes."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Centene Stadium in Great Falls.
