Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Stampede, 7-6
Medicine Hat designated hitter Malvin Moreno was the key at Ballpark of Medicine Hat, as he powered the Stampede to victory in a critical Game 5 of the Regional Championship Series. The Stampede took the 7-6 win over the Lethbridge Black Diamonds to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Donovan Escobar was the walk-off hero for Medicine Hat. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stampede second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Escobar said.

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Howard Johnson Field in Lethbridge.
