Black Diamonds Hammered by Escobar, Fall Further Behind in RCS

The Lethbridge Black Diamonds took the Medicine Hat Stampede into extra frames, but came up short.
It took 10 innings to do it, but Medicine Hat eventually triumphed, 5-3, to extend their lead in the Regional Championship Series. Rookie second baseman Donovan Escobar was the man of the hour for Medicine Hat, as he was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 in the Howard Johnson Field contest. The win gives the Stampede a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 Regional Championship Series.
The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Escobar delivered big-time for Medicine Hat, stroking a dramatic 2-run home run off Neddy Johansen. The game-changing hit put the Stampede on top, 5-3.
"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Stampede manager Brantley Johnson.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 29th , 2059 at Ballpark of Medicine Hat in Medicine Hat.
