The Fresno Falcons moved to within one game of the Division Championship Series, downing the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates at Savemart Center by a score of 8-6. Falcons left-hander J.B. Whitson had a strong outing in which he threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Falcons a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.
