Almost There: Boise On Cusp of RCS Triumph After 7-2 Win
The Boise Hawks moved to within one game of the A- Championship Series, downing the visiting Olympia Spartans at Memorial Stadium by a score of 7-2. Hawks shortstop Almandeto Cedeño did some major damage. He went 2 for 3 with a triple, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. The win gives the Hawks a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Regional Championship Series.

Cedeño hit a 2-run triple in the bottom of the first to help the Boise cause. The triple, which was hit off T.J. Cannady, allowed Boise to take a 2-0 lead.

"We lost," Olympia manager Jim Todd said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Memorial Stadium in Boise.
