Aberdeen Moves on to A- Championship Series
|
The Aberdeen Ironbirds and State College Spikes hooked up in a classic Regional Championship Series that went right down to the wire.
In the end, it's Aberdeen heading off to the A- Championship Series, after a 5-3 win at Ripken Stadium tonight earned the 4-3 series win.
Outside Ripken Stadium, whether they were supporters of Aberdeen or State College, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget.
Nolan Battaglia played the hero for the Ironbirds in the series, as his MVP performance included a .522 batting average, with a .522 on-base percentage. He also had 1 home runs, 3 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The A- Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Regional Championship Series finishes.
