The Memphis Blues powered past the hometown Indianapolis Ignition, 9-1, in the opener of the Divisional Series at PepsiCo Park today. Memphis starting pitcher Joe Borck threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Blues now lead the series 1-0.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Miles Hallam? The Memphis catcher had a bases-clearing double in the top of the first inning to put the Blues on top, 5-0. For the game, Hallam had 1 double and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

"I'm proud to wear a Memphis jersey," Borck told the Memphis News. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
