Ironbirds Hammered by Romero, Drop Game 4 to Spikes
The State College Spikes knotted up the Regional Championship Series at Bowman Field, thanks in large part to first baseman José Romero. Romero went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once as he overpowered the Aberdeen Ironbirds, enabling State College to grab the 5-1 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Romero had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth to put State College in front, 5-1. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run off Aberdeen pitcher Isaac Brock.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said State College manager Bobby Spencer.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bowman Field in Williamsport.
