Hibbard 4-for-4 to Power Rangers Offense

The Texas Rangers and Montreal Expos completed their game despite the rain.
With second baseman Chuck Hibbard leading the charge, the Texas Rangers defeated the Montreal Expos, 8-1, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Hibbard went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The winning pitcher was Charles Shoop. His record now stands at 3-8. The left-hander went 7 innings, allowing 1 run on 3 hits for the Rangers.
In the bottom of the second inning, the Rangers grabbed the lead when Ramone Vidal rapped a two-out single. Texas was trailing 1-0, when Vidal hit a 2-run single off Kameron Clark to put his team in front, 2-1.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Hibbard told a Texas News reporter. "Sometimes we just need to relax."
The Expos, at 22-45, have lost 4 in a row.
