Edward, Twins Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Minnesota Twins started the Division Championship Series in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Arizona Diamondbacks in a walk-off in the 11th inning. Minnesota took the 2-1 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter Wilmot Edward. The left-hander threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball in the win, which gave the Twins a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-7 series.

Minnesota got a clutch hit from Ray Mallory. The shortstop launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a kill shot.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Minnesota manager Connor Sandstrom.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Monday, October 27th , 2064.
