Road Win Lifts Coral Springs to 1-0 Lead in RRCS
|
The Coral Springs Manatees wasted no time taking the lead in the Regional Championship Series, beating the Kissimmee Kumquats at Bright House Field by the score of 4-1. The win gives Coral Springs a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Manatees right-hander Billy Trowbridge threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball.
Trowbridge tossed 96 pitches over 8 innings to clinch the win for the Manatees. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while racking up 9 strikeouts in the game.
"Billy's as tough as he is talented," said Coral Springs manager Brady Reece.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Bright House Field in Kissimmee.
