New York Makes It 6 Straight with 4-3 Win

The New York Yankees extended their winning streak.
The New York Yankees picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, downing the Chicago White Sox, 4-3. On the mound for New York was right-hander Vic Schramm, who played a pivotal role in the win. Santiago González came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. His record now stands at 3-4.
Declan Leider was 1 for 3 for New York. The 31-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gunner Dalman. It was his 13th RBI of the season.
"Chalk one up for the good guys," said Leider. "I'm sure our fans enjoyed that win."
The first-place Yankees have won 6 in a row.
