Pride Tie Series With Catfish After 8-0 Win
The Peoria Pride knotted up the Regional Championship Series at Scottsdale Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Josh Dowd. Dowd quieted the Bullhead City Catfish, enabling Peoria to grab the 8-0 win and move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Peoria used the hitting of Elder Escalante to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Pride on top, 3-0. For the game, Escalante had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Escalante.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Camelback Ranch in Peoria.
