West Virginia Breaks Through for First Win in Divisional Series; Now Trails 2-1
The West Virginia Power have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Greensboro Grasshoppers, winning, 11-4, at NewBridge Bank Park. Power first baseman Kent Massey went 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. The win cuts the deficit facing the Power to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

Massey got the Power off to a quick start. In the top of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he hit a 2-run triple.

"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Massey.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at NewBridge Bank Park in Greensboro.
