Collins, Pirates Wallop Falcons in Game 3 of WCS
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of right fielder Woodrow Collins, the Pittsburgh Pirates stopped the visiting Fresno Falcons, 6-1, in Game 3 of the Wild Card Series. Collins was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Pirates, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.
The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Collins hit a 2-run home run off Luca Boris. It propelled the Pirates into the lead, 2-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Collins.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Sunday, October 14th , 2063.
