Daniels, Mudcats Wallop Dash in Game 5 of DS
|
Carolina catcher Jase Daniels was the key at BB&T Ballpark, as he powered the Mudcats to victory in a critical Game 5 of the Divisional Series. The Mudcats took the 6-1 win over the Winston-Salem Dash to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.
Carolina won the game in part because of Logan Jackson. The center fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Mudcats ahead, 3-1. For the game, Jackson had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.
"It feels good to get this one," Daniels told the Carolina Daily News.
Game 6 is scheduled for Monday at Five County Stadium in Zebulon.
