Corpus Christi Breaks Through for First Win in Divisional Series; Now Trails 2-1
Already down in the Divisional Series, the Corpus Christi Hooks put on their best show, beating the Chattanooga Scouts by a final score of 4-0. Michael Samuels was special. He threw 9.0 innings of shutout ball. Corpus Christi now trails Chattanooga 2-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

Samuels was in the zone all game. He frustrated Chattanooga hitters while giving the Hooks 9 innings of quality work. Samuels threw 94 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 7 punchouts.

"Michael knows how to get ahead of hitters, stay ahead of hitters, and put people out," said Corpus Christi manager Ramon Guerrero.
