Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Derek Holmes, the Altoona Curve stopped the visiting Binghamton Rumble Ponies, 8-2, in Game 2 of the Divisional Series. Holmes was 2-4 with a double and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Curve, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Jay, Maine-born Conan Bonilla came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Curve trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Altoona on top.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Bonilla told the Altoona Daily News. "Whatever it takes."

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 29th , 2061 at NYSEG Stadium in Binghamton.
