Lamothe Blasts Biscuits, Engineers Take Game 4, 6-3
|
The Shreveport Engineers knotted up the Divisional Series at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, thanks in large part to first baseman Jayden Lamothe. Lamothe went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once as he overpowered the Montgomery Biscuits, enabling Shreveport to grab the 6-3 win and move into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.
In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, Lamothe came to the plate. He hit a sacrifice fly off Thomas Lubis to put the Engineers in the lead, 4-3.
Shreveport manager Kip Fors commended his team for "banging out a nice win."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
