Almost There: Lincoln On Cusp of DS Triumph After 4-3 Win
The Lincoln Bighorns moved to within one game of the Regional Championship Series today, downing the Lancaster Barnstormers on the road at FirstEnergy Stadium by a score of 4-3. Bighorns left-hander Rob Cioffi had a strong outing. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The win gives the Bighorns a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Divisional Series.

Dave Mudd, the 25-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Mudd contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Lincoln up, 4-3.

"This was a good win for us," said Cioffi. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at FirstEnergy Stadium in Lancaster.
