RiverDogs Hammered by Aguilera, Drop Game 5 to Hot Rods
Bowling Green second baseman Marvin Aguilera was the key at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park, as he powered the Hot Rods to victory in a critical Game 5 of the Wild Card Series. The Hot Rods took the 9-5 win over the Charleston RiverDogs to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Bowling Green used the hitting of Diego Pérez to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Hot Rods on top, 7-5. For the game, Pérez had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Aguilera. "And not try to do too much."

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green.
