Flint Wins Game 5 in Extras; On Verge of DS
The Flint Wolverines needed some late heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Divisional Series. The Wolverines needed 10 innings before taking the 6-4 win against the Lansing Lugnuts in a walk-off at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark. Flint third baseman Roland Acevedo was 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The win gives the Wolverines a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Wild Card Series.

Acevedo won the game for Flint when he homered off Stanley McDonough in the bottom of the tenth.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Acevedo.

Game 6 is scheduled for Friday at Cooley Law School Stadium in Lansing.
