Great Lakes Takes Wild Card Series
In a series that had a little bit of everything, the Great Lakes Loons have edged the Beloit Snappers.

The two rival clubs went the distance in the tightly-contested Wild Card Series, with a 1-0 win in the clincher being the difference for Great Lakes and giving them the ticket to the Divisional Series with a 4-3 series triumph.

"We never stopped believing in ourselves. When push came to shove we were going to get it done," said Juan Carlos Beccatini, who was named series MVP.

For the series, Beccatini hit .324 with a .343 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.

The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
