Road Win Lifts El Paso to 1-0 Lead in DS
The El Paso Chihuahuas faced a tough opponent in Edmonton Edge first baseman Dave Mrozek, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Divisional Series, which they now lead 1-0. The Chihuahuas won 5-3 at Field of the Edge, despite the efforts of Mrozek, who went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Courtney Wilson? The El Paso right fielder had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chihuahuas on top, 5-3. For the game, Wilson had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," El Paso manager Kelly Ury told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Edge in Edmonton.
