Almost There: Elizabethton On Cusp of RCS Triumph After 1-0 Win
The Elizabethton Twins got a strong performance from pitcher Declan Veilleux, who stymied the Delco offense en route to a 1-0 win in Game 4 of the Regional Championship Series. The Jawns could never get a bead on the right-handed Veilleux, who threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The Twins now hold a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Cristopher Pérez went 1-3 with a walk for Elizabethton. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, Pérez had a clutch at-bat. Facing Delco hurler Wayne Meegeren, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run to give the Twins a 1-0 lead.

"I was trying to do what I do, go out there and compete," said Veilleux.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Joe O'Brien Field in Elizabethton.
