Road Win Lifts Glendale to 1-0 Lead in WCS
The 18-year-old rookie on the mound turned out to be the least of the Bullhead City Catfish worries.

Giving a high-pressure playoff start to youngster Isaac Carson seemed like a risky move for the Catfish, but it was one of the few things that went right at Scottsdale Stadium today. Carson tossed 7.1 solid innings, but it was all for naught after Bullhead City dropped a 6-3 decision. With the win, Glendale took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 Wild Card Series.

With two out in the top of the eighth, Mark Brito lit into a sinker from Beau Litwiler for a 2-run home run. That made the score 5-3 in favor of the Gauchos. For the day, Brito went 1 for 1 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

"We did a lot of things right," said Brito.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Scottsdale Stadium in Bullhead City.
