With designated hitter Ethan Wolfe leading the charge, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cleveland Indians, 6-3, at Wrigley Field. Wolfe, who finished 3rd in the AL in home runs with 47 last year, went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. Chicago reliever Kameron Redden picked up the win, raising his record to 6-2. Ben Paulsen was tagged with the loss. The Cubs now own a record of 41-25.

Chicago took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Zach Hicks hit a 2-run single to make it 5-3, Cubs.

Hicks called the win "a pick-me-upper."
