Baby Cakes Heading to Divisional Series
New Orleans left fielder Noel Bietz couldn't hide his reaction when asked about being named MVP of the Wild Card Series.

"It's a nice honor," he said, failing to suppress a wide smile. The trophy was presented to Bietz moments after his club eliminated the Nashville Sounds to advance to the Divisional Series.

New Orleans won the final game by a score of 1-0 at First Tennessee Park and took the series 4-1.

"We won the series and that's the main thing," Bietz said. "They were a tough team and we didn't want to take anything for granted."

For the series, Bietz hit .375 with a .421 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 3 runs.

"He was tough to stop and that's a big reason they're there and we're here," said a dejected Nashville manager Darius Hogan.

The Divisional Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Wild Card Series finishes.
