Bringle, Bulldogs Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Blue Ridge Bulldogs took the first game of the Wild Card Series in dramatic fashion, topping the Elizabethton Twins, 7-6, in an extra-inning walk-off win. Bulldogs shortstop Brian Bringle went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs.

Blue Ridge got a clutch hit from Dean Coots. The designated hitter launched a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"This is a very good team," said Bringle. "We have the chance to do something special."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Blue Ridge in Blue Ridge.
