Blue Wahoos Cruise to Divisional Series with Sweep
|
The Pensacola Blue Wahoos proved to be too much to handle for the Shreveport Engineers in the Wild Card Series, and a sweep was the end result.
Pensacola punched its ticket to the Divisional Series on the strength of a 9-5 win in the deciding game, which wrapped up the series 4-0.
Pensacola center fielder John Hunt, named series MVP, was instrumental in the sweep, as he mashed Shreveport pitching to the tune of a .412 average, with a .474 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 4 runs.
