Medford Tops Salem-Keizer Again, 4-3
A big day on the mound from right-hander Seth Childs was not enough to keep the Medford Flying Tigers from opening up a healthy early lead in the Wild Card Series. The Flying Tigers topped Childs and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes 4-3 at Medford Grounds today in Game 2, and now hold a 2-0 edge in the best-of-7 series. Childs threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball in the loss.

The game came to an abrupt end with no one out in the bottom of the tenth. On a pitch from Robert Kinahan, Ryder Engler hit a sacrifice fly. It gave Medford the 4-3 win.

"This joint was rocking," said Engler.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 12th , 2052 at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.
